I stood at the line and dug my toes into the soft sand, I was ready to go.
I bursted into the water the cold rush chilled my spine. I sprinted to the first life guard and dived into the water and started to swim as fast as I could. Halfway through the swim leg, I was tired but I wasn't going to give up. I stood back up on my feet and started to run to the bike transition.
I slipped my shoes on and clipped my helmet up and I was off and racing. I was flying down the road the cool breeze was blowing into my face I was passing heaps of people and instantly I was up to my second lap. " You can do it " I mumbled to myself I paced my self as I neared the transition for the run.
I start to run I could barely even feel my legs after such a long bike my legs were in pain but I still continued. I start to feel a sharp pain in my stomach but it was too late to give up. I stared down the finish line it was right there I gave the last little bit my all and..... I had Finished.
I had a fun time at the Weet-Bix Tryathlon and I was stoked to get my medal from a famous All Black player Arron Smith
